LYON, FRANCE – August 1, 2025:
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, paid an official visit to the Interpol headquarters in Lyon, France on Thursday. He was warmly received by the organization’s president, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, during the visit.
Prince Abdulaziz reiterated the Kingdom's firm support for Interpol and praised its ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the global fight against transnational crime.
The Saudi minister also commended Interpol’s critical role in enhancing global security coordination and building stronger collaboration among security agencies across the world.
Al-Raisi, who currently serves as Interpol’s president, is from the United Arab Emirates. He was elected during the 89th General Assembly held in Istanbul, Turkiye, back in November 2021. His term is set to conclude later this year.
