Catherine Zeta-Jones Sports Dubai-Based Karen Wazen Sunglasses in New York

DUBAI — Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones was spotted in New York this week wearing statement sunglasses from Dubai-based eyewear label By Karen Wazen, founded by Lebanese influencer and entrepreneur Karen Wazen.

The Oscar-winning star was in the city to promote season two of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday on Good Morning America. She chose the Lily sunglasses — bold, oversized cat-eye frames in glossy black acetate with dark lenses and gold logo detailing on the temples.

For one appearance, Zeta-Jones styled the shades with a fitted black peplum jacket and matching midi skirt adorned with vibrant red floral embroidery cascading from the waist and sleeves. Glossy red pointed-toe stilettos completed the striking look.

In another outing, she paired the Karen Wazen sunglasses with a white midi dress featuring dark burgundy floral patterns and soft grey streaks, layered under a classic beige trench coat draped over her shoulders.

Zeta-Jones plays Morticia Addams in Wednesday, the glamorous and gothic matriarch to Jenna Ortega’s title character. In season two, Morticia takes on a more central role at Nevermore Academy, working on campus in a philanthropic role while becoming more entangled in her daughter’s life — much to Wednesday’s dismay.

The cast, which also includes Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, welcomes new faces this season such as Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, and Lady Gaga. The new episodes are set to premiere on Sept. 3.

During the London press tour, Ortega also spotlighted Arab talent by wearing a couture gown from Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi of Ashi Studio. The intricate look — inspired by exotic hides and snake sheds — took more than 200 hours to create using custom latex “snake skins” crafted with rare artisanal casting techniques.
